Introducing Hoken Budd-E

Until now, customer understanding walked out the door when the meeting ended, and stayed off the record.

Hoken Budd-E is more than a recording tool. It supports your advisors and compliance in real time, right in the conversation. And it automatically records what matters most: the key points, the reasoning behind every recommendation, and what was decided.

HOW IT WORKS

From conversation to record. Three steps.

01

The advisor runs the conversation

Discovering needs, explaining options, and making a recommendation.

02

Hoken Budd-E creates the record

Customer understanding, intent, and recommendation, all structured in real time.

03

The whole organization benefits

Advisors, managers, and compliance teams, each using the same record for different purposes.

BY THE NUMBERS

Advisor consultation
Over 2 Million*

Insurance advisors & solicitors nationwide

Over two million licensed life and non-life insurance professionals serve customers across Japan.

Source
Life Insurance Association of Japan (LIAJ) + General Insurance Association of Japan (GIAJ) *Calculated from 241,507 life insurance sales representatives (LIAJ) and approximately 1.78 million non-life insurance solicitors (GIAJ).
227,000+

Estimated insurance sales conversations happen every day in Japan

Tens of thousands of advisor-customer conversations take place daily. Most are never captured in structured form.

How we calculated this
12.43M new individual life insurance policies were sold in FY2024 (Life Insurance Association of Japan, '生命保険の動向 2025年版'). Industry data shows customers typically have 2+ consultation meetings before signing, and a typical close rate of around 30%. 12.43M ÷ 30% close rate × 2 meetings ÷ 365 days ≈ 227,000 conversations/day. This is a conservative estimate limited to new life insurance business: it excludes non-life (auto, fire, earthquake) consultations and ongoing policy servicing conversations, so the true daily figure is materially higher.
124M+

Hours of advisor-customer conversation generated every year

Nearly all of it spoken, unstructured, and lost the moment the meeting ends.

How we calculated this
Dividing the 12.43M annual new policies by a typical 30% close rate gives roughly 41.4M engaged customers per year. At 2 meetings per customer and an average 1.5-hour session length, that's approximately 124 million hours of advisor-customer conversation per year.
~70%

Of conversation details are forgotten within 24 hours if not recorded

Human memory decays fast. Most of what's discussed in an unrecorded sales conversation is gone by the next day.

Source
Based on Ebbinghaus's forgetting curve: roughly 50% of new information is forgotten within 1 hour, and ~70% within 24 hours without reinforcement (H. Ebbinghaus, 1885; replicated in Murre & Dros, 2015, PMC/NIH).
